Computer Use
At the m@trix we charge a flat rate of €0.05 per minute for the hire of our workstations, whether you spend the time writing a document in Microsoft Word, browsing the web or burning a DVD (or all three)...
... unfortunately we do have to pay our rent, so a minimum charge of €1.00 applies - which gives you 20 minutes on the workstation, before the cost starts to rise.
To ensure there are no surprises, all our workstations have timing software installed which displays your start and [eventual] finish times, together with a constantly updated display of the Time Elapsed and the current (and final) charge for your Computer Usage.
Please Note: All of this information is also displayed on our server.
For those visitors who prefer... we also have 5 hour prepaid TimeCode cards available at a discounted price (you only pay for 4 hours, i.e. €12.00 instead of €15.00). This facility is typically used by those who are planning one or more lengthy sessions, or visitors who are going to be in town for an extended period.
Additional time can be purchased to "top up" a TimeCode card at any time, prior to its expiration. These "top ups" are available at the following rates:
- 1 Hour - €3.00 - no discount
- 2 Hours - €5.70 - 5% discount
- 3 Hours - €8.10 - 10% discount
- 4 Hours - €10.20 - 15% discount
- 5 Hours - €12.00 - 20% discount

Printing
We currently have a Black & White (A4) Laser (set as the default printer) and a Colour (A3) Inkjet (which also prints at A4 size)... both of which are available for printing from all of our workstations.
Please let us know before using the Colour Inkjet, so we can ensure that the correct paper size is loaded.
Our current charges for these printers are:
- Black & White (A4) Laser
- €0.20 per page
- Colour Inkjet Printer
€0.50 per A4 page
€1.50 per A3 page
Note: Discounted charges can be negotiated for high volume Black & White prints - but only by prior arrangement... so check with us first!
Please note that these charges are automatically calculated by our timing software and displayed on your workstation (and our server)...
... so please check the number of pages before you select print for that 6 page e-ticket booking confirmation, or that 99 page Excel spreadsheet...
...or come and see us for assistance!
Other Services
In addition to using our workstations, visitors can bring their own laptop and plug-in directly to our hi-speed LAN [at either of our 2 laptop stations], or they can connect to our [password protected] WiFi network.
At present, the charge [for both] is the same as when using one of our workstations - the price of convenience?

Yes, we know you can get CDs & DVDs for less... but this charge helps offset the cost of maintaining our DVD recorders, and the burning software provided... and the total cost is still cheaper than at a photo shop!
